Welcome to the 2026/27 season for the Yellowknife Bay Soccer Club!
Our registration process is now open. A reminder that our registrations are annual so these registrations cover Winter 26/27 and Summer 27.
Registration link is here: RAMP Registrations V3
GROUPS
This coming year our groups will be as follows:
All players are to register in the correct group according to their birth year.
The 2023 kids can register with Sunpups or U5 depending upon what you feel your child is ready to do. Sunpups is an unstructured and uncoached drop-in program. We provide the field, balls and other equipment for you to play with your child. You can come and go at any time during the session. At U5 the players move to a structured and coached environment with warm-ups, simple drills and small games. If you enroll in one group but want to change to the other group later on, that can be done.
REGISTRATION FEES
Fees for this coming year will be:
Remember that these are annual fees so there is no additional fee next summer. This one annual fee also included participation in our men's/women's and summer youth leagues according to the players age.
EQUIPMENT AND KITS
All players (except for Sunpups) will be expected to have indoor soccer shoes, shin pads and soccer socks. Sunpups just need indoor shoes.
New club uniforms have been developed and will be available for order by anyone who wants them. An email will be sent out for a sizing session.
COACHING
While we have a great team of dedicated and skilled coaches, we currently have too few people doing too much. We need more people to get involved to share the load so the club can continue to grow and thrive. Even if you are not that familiar with soccer or have not been a coach before, you can still help. Many times all that is needed is an extra person on the field to make our practices run more efficiently. Over time you will learn more about soccer and being a coach. Ideally we would like to have 4 people on the field for each group - a head coach and 3 assistant coaches. That would allow the group to be split for drills and games and there will still be two coaches with each group.
While our coaches are not paid, we do provide a financial incentive to get involved. A player whose parent is the head coach of that team will get 100% off the registration fee. A player whose parent is an assistant coach or a manager will get 50% off the registration fee. Please email ybsc_registrations@yellowknifebaysoccer.ca if you can get involved.
AURORA MINOR SOCCER LEAGUE (AMSL)
YBSC and AMSL are continuing our partnership for youth player and coach development. Sundogs teams will again be playing AMSL teams regularly. More info will be available on our website.
